Glycolic acid is the smallest alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA), small enough to work between the surface cells of the skin's outer layer. It gently loosens the bonds that hold dead cells together, lifting away buildup without harsh scrubbing. It leaves the scalp clean, fresh and ready to absorb the products that follow.
